this was drawn on
and off over the course of a month so i could get
back in the swing of the animation process. the
music was taken off of the adult swim website during
their submit your shorts contest. this, as well
as several other shorts, was submitted. the general
structure of the animation is as follows:
handsome young man
walks until he finds a $.25 machine outside of a
supermarket. after checking his breath for foul
odor and realizing there is no scope insight, he
goes for a gum ball in hopes of bringing some sweet
aroma up in his grill. without warning, he gets
distracted by a hot little number [somewhat based
off of heather graham's character in swingers].
falling instantly in love, he mistakes a "grow
your own dinasaur in water" machine with the
gumball device. chaos begins. mixing with the saliva,
the dino-egg erupts into a mean ass tyrannosaurus
who runs amuk through the streets. the rex meets
up with a giant gorilla and a rampage style rumble
breaks out in the spirit of 8-bit. then theres all
this stuff about faux love and neck snapping and
the handsome young man being crushed by the weight
of his new pet. its great stuff.
